What is an RSS Bot?

The RSS Bot is a web-crawling robot. It collects RSS, RDF, and ATOM feeds from the internet to build a searchable index for the PLAZOO search engine.

How often does RSS Bot access my website?

For most sites, on average the RSS Bot should not access websites more than once every few seconds. Since network delays are involved it is possible that the rate will appear to be slightly higher.

How do I register my site with RSS Bot so it will be indexed?

Go to "Add Feed" and fill in the data requested therein. The data are used only for our information and do not affect how your page is indexed or used by RSS Bot. If your website should not be visited by our bot, please mail to info@qlikworld.com indicating the exact URL of your website.

What kinds of links does the RSS-Bot follow?

The RSS-Bot indexes RSS, RDF, and ATOM feeds. Sometimes our bot visits also your homepage to look for hints where your rss feed might be. It looks for included links like .
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="http://www.plazoo.com/de/rss2/plazoo.rss" /> Our bot obeys the rules documented in robots.txt files, as most bots do nowadays. If you need more Information about the robots.txt, please have a look at the standard However, the robots.txt standard is too old to handle licences and syndication models.
