Edit summary: Yiff (The Band) is an unsigned band formed in 2005 out of northern-central New Jersey. It consists of two members, Alex Talbott and Timothy King, whose roles in the band are hard to pin down. Their sound can be most closely compared to psychobilly, indie-pop, dance punk, or shoegaze. There is often little percussion, and no official drummer or drum kit owned by the band. Nothing is known of any live shows ever being performed. Both members claim their name does not mean they have affiliation with the “furry” or “yiff” movement of pornographically depicted animals. Rather, it is meant to be ironic.
