It was in 1998 that I bought some sort of punk compilation. It had a song called "Dummy Up" on it by Screeching Weasel. At the time I had no idea who they were but really liked the song. I knew it was the sort of sound I'd be listening to for the next few years. Two years later later I was dragging my mom to music stores in Long Island to complete my Mighty Mighty Bosstones collection (in retrospect, I wonder why I loved them that much, I mean they're good but come now) and I went straight to the M section to find a Screeching Weasel cd in the place of the Bosstones cd I'd been looking for. I bought it and since have played the album more times than any of my other albums (with perhaps the one exception of my One Man Army- Dead End Stories cd). It's great to have a cd or two to call home, those that you can listen to full through and love and revel in. I hadn't listened to it in a long time till just now and it's just like being my younger self again. I'm still very young in a lot of ways.
