mensbathroom.jpg Syndey's Spectrum is the catch-all venue for indie show-gazers, ironic hipsters, rock n' rollers, and leopardskin pant-loving punks who hang out good-naturedly in the bathroom. The small club (around 200 skinny people can fit) draws a, yes, spectrum of kids for their live music shows featuring many up-and-coming bands, mostly of the post-punk indie variety. On the nights they don't have bands, there are djs. Grimy, dark and loud, Spectrum is as good as any place in New York to get wasted, listen to music and do lines in the bathroom.
