I should just rename this to the Guitar Hero 2 blog. I think I’ll be talking about it a lot in the coming days/weeks. I beat the game on medium. Freebird was indeed awesome. I’ve got a couple songs standing out at me as being totally amazing. They are, in no particular order: Tattooed Love Boys - Fast and fun Monkey Wrench - Seriously, the Foo Fighters rock John the Fisherman - Priums is just crazy, and this song is a lot of fun Message in a Bottle - The Police are crazy, this song has weird timing that makes it fun Rock This Town - Rockabilly is fantastic, and so is Brian Setzer Carry Me Home - It’s punk-Rockabilly Institutionalized - Hilarious and crazy awesome to play Also, thanks to The Living End’s “Carry Me Home” and GH2’s Practice Mode, I can finally do hammer-ons and pull-offs with some amount of regularity. I did hammer-ons very little in the original game, and totally ignored pull-offs. This particular song has a crazy fast intro that more or less requires you to know how to hammer-on and pull-off. Well, after playing that intro for a half an hour on various different speeds, I can hit a lot of the hammer-ons and pull-offs.
