Edit summary: {{db-band}} ''Nashville artist Davey T. Hamilton has updated bluegrass while keeping the music's original soul intact. His lush arrangements and solid storytelling bring to mind the new country sound of Rascal Flatts, while his bluegrass chops are pure Union Station. In a perfect world, Hamilton would have already sold a million records.'' ((Image:Daveythamilton.jpg)) While attending the University of Kentucky, Davey started playing guitar. Within 6 weeks of learning his first song, he was performing as a front man, bass, and keyboard player for various bands. After graduation, Davey moved back home with his parents for six months and spent the entire time writing songs. He then decided to follow his dream and move to Nashville, TN. "I came to Nashville wide-eyed and with big dreams. After living here for about a month I decided I wanted to learn how to make professional recordings. At the time, I was working 3 jobs and trying to make ends meet, so I applied for several credit cards. I maxed all 5 of them out on recording studio gear and self-taught myself how to make records." Davey's unique blend of Country, Rock, Bluegrass, Folk, punk, and Pop places him in a new generation of American Modern Country Music. He has a radio-friendly sound, down-home charm, and a spirit of adventure that draws the music listener into his world. His good looks and physical fitness means one lean playing singing machine when he takes the stage. Audiences want more and Davey delivers!
