Private Student loans Vendor Management Associate DEPARTMENT Corporate Procurement & Supplier Relationship Mgmt. REPORTS TO Corporate Senior Vendor Manager FLSA CLASSIFICATION LEVEL BASIC FUNCTION Provide support to the Corporate Senior Vendor Manager in the management of the Vendor Management Program. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* 1. A. Management of the Risk Assessment Survey (RAS) process including identification of vendor candidates for risk assessment; coordination with functional Procurement staff; distribution of Risk Assessment Survey forms, follow-up with Business Unit contacts and collection of finalized surveys. 1. B. Participate in the analysis of completed RAS’s and coordination with business and functional contacts; the development of RAS mitigation plans and the tracking of the (1) RAS functional status database and (2) mitigation issue tracking database through closure. 1. letterc. Further duties would include managing and enhancing the Risk Assessment Survey database and coordinating the development and preparation of “memos to the file”. 2. Participate in the development and implementation of supplier performance measurement scorecards. 3. Participate in providing support to the functional Procurement staff in the identification and tracking of cost savings and vendor rationalization opportunities. 4. Establish and maintain the Preferred Supplier database. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with various procurement activities as needed, including strategic sourcing, Purchase Order Processing and day-to-day procurement activities. QUALIFICATIONS Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience: 1. Minimum 2 years work experience. Experience desired in the procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor or contract management environments. Financial services industry experience a plus. 2. Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Professional Office Suite (Word, Excel Access, PowerPoint). Skills, Abilities, Competencies: 1. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively at both the individual and team level. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. 2. Ability to adapt quickly to changes and work productively in a challenging and growth-oriented environment.
