With the SmartTRANS reader, Integrated Engineering expands its product range with a dual technology ISO14443 and 125 kHz Prox reader.
The SmartTRANS provides a transition path from existing proprietary legacy 125 kHz Prox technologies to open standards ISO14443 technologies. The reader combines ISO14443 technologies, such as Mifare, DESFire and PIV, and 125 kHz prox technologies in one reader. The reader provides flexible configurable output formats and output protocols. The SmartTRANS accepts a wide range power supply voltage from 4.5 to 16 Volt DC.
“As one of the leading RFID the companies in the world and as technology partner of our customers, we recognized the need for an dual technology reader that will add value to an existing infrastructure in stead of replacing it,” says Mr. JP Hulsker, Managing Director of Integrated Engineering. “The SmartTRANS will provide the possibility to use both ISO 14443 and 125 kHz cards and tags on one reader.”
Since the introduction of the first Integrated Engineering readers, Integrated Engineering has constantly refined and improved the technology so that it remains the most advanced state-of-the-art. This international company offers a very broad range of ISO 14443 readers, including readers for physical access control (serial number, sector, sector + PIN, read/write), the SmartTOUCH (ISO 14443 Mifare DESFire with finger-scan Biometrics), the Common Access Card (ISO 14443-4) and the SmartLOGON (ISO 14443 PC security module) supporting multiple chips and antennas in various housings (e.g. Classic, SmartID, OEM). Integrated Engineering also provides technologies such as Hitag and EM 4102.
