We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in the areas of research and news monitoring. The ideal candidate will have two plus years of experience, be proficient in accessing and using various online database search engines and have excellent communication skills. • Carries out research and news monitoring to provide clients and staff with timely, factual information to help develop strategies and support public relations programs for client projects and new business prospects. • Finds and synthesizes information, and processes and analyzes quantitative data to form insights. • Acts as a resource for account staff to provide direction and make recommendations related to individual research needs. • Maintains a high level of proficiency in online database searching including Lexis-Nexis, Factiva and Bloomberg, as well as internet sources. • Insures that client/staff research needs are met through coordination of research staff time for daily evening, weekend and crisis research needs. Requirements: • 2-4 years of research experience in an agency or equivalent, or a Masters of Library Science • Substantial knowledge of major information databases (such as Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, NewsEdge, Bloomberg, Datamonitor, Dialog), print resources, and the Internet • Working knowledge of Simmons or MRI databases preferable • Good attention to, and awareness of, world trends and current events • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Strong multi-tasking ability needed • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint To apply to this position, please send resume and cover letter to: david.miller@hillandknowlton.com reference US-Res-Lib Required Education: 4 Year Degree, Undergraduate degree in liberal arts or equivalent Notes: Local residents preferred (No Relo).
