The Operations Manager position will focus on assisting senior management with overseeing field retail operations and acting as a resource to support the field operations management team. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Supports the day-to-day activities of the organization's retail operations department. Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and review related monthly expenses; contribute to contract negotiations and renewals. Continually evaluate current and proposed systems and procedures; work directly with field management to implement programs, changes, etc. as required. Act as liason for field management with CenterShift POS program Conduct monthly reviews of financial results and assist senior management with managing action plans to address areas of concern. Work with Operations team to create monthly, quarterly and yearly financial and operational reports for use by senior management and field management. Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance profitability and productivity of the company. Act as first point of contact for field management on legal issues relating to storage customers Respond to ad hoc assignments from the CEO and/or Director of Operations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiar with a variety of the field retail operations’ concepts, practices, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 2-5 years of experience in a multi-unit retail management position. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position will report to the Director of Operations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Superior oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization, from the CEO to the local retail manager.
