C/C++ Senior Software Developer - Toronto Our client is a profitable and rapidly growing leading provider of enterprise-class networking software solutions for small-medium enterprises, government, military, financial services, retail and manufacturing organizations worldwide. This position will work as part of a fast-paced Software Engineering team to develop and maintain software. The successful candidate will play an active role in the development of their product line using state-of-the-art technologies. This position requires someone who has very strong technical, communications, and time management skills. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 7 years C/C++ development. Cross platform knowledge of Linux (Debian), and Windows operating systems and development environments for each of these OSes. Linux configuration and shell scripting experience. Knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking experience is MANDATORY. Ability to work in a dynamic team or stand alone environment and meet deadlines and requirements. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Perforce or similar version control software exposure. Ability to analyze functional requirements and provide estimates for effort involved. Experience with using testing frameworks. Personality A proven track record in software development. A strong belief in accountability and one who takes great pride in the quality of the products and the efficiency of the team. Proven organizational skills allowing one to apply the necessary time and effort to each project while working on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to quickly grasp current software functionality and third party products in order to extend that functionality to meet new and evolving requirements. A contributing and supporting team member, Strong motivation, self-confidence, and sense of ownership. Experience with a fast-paced startup environment . Self starter with a “can-do” mentality. Service centric attitude to other departments. Requires little or no supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong technical skills.
