This Marketing Assistant position is a mix of Sales/Marketing work and it reports to both the VP/Sales and the Marketing Director. The Marketing Assistant will also work with EverydayHealth.com’s marketing department in proofreading and development of RFPs and presentations. He/She will provide administrative support for both the Publisher and the Marketing Director, including booking travel, scheduling meetings and submitting expenses. He/She will also act as a liaison between other internal departments and third parties. Requirements: • Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks • Ability to deal professionally and constructively with vendors, members and staff at all levels • Excellent computer skills. Solid knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must, as well as knowledge of Explorer, search engines and online navigation. • Utilize Outlook to create folders, schedule appointments, & distribution lists • Produce presentations using PowerPoint. • Effective written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills a must. • Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities. • 1-2 years of experience in a Marketing, Promotions or Sales department. • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
